Mark A. Spatola, M.D.


Born and raised in New Jersey, graduated Johns Hopkins University,
Baltimore, in natural sciences;  Doctor of Medicine degree from New Jersey
Medical School, Newark;  surgical and neurosurgical residency training at
Albert Einstein University and Montefiore Medical Center, New York.

Moved to North Florida, on staff at
Orange Park Medical Center since 1988;
previously on staff at Memorial Medical Center, St. Lukes Hospital, Baptist
Medical Center, St Vincents Medical Center and Shands Jacksonville.

Practices at present solely at Orange Park Medical Center. Previous positions
held at Orange Park Medical Center, Chief of Medical Staff, Chief of Surgery,
Chairman of Ethics Committee and Institutional Review Board. Presently
serves on the credentials committee, as Chief of Section of Neurosurgery,
and as a member on the Board of Trustees.

Professional memberships: Clay County Medical Society,
Florida Medical
Association, Florida Neurosurgical Society, American Association of
Neurological Surgeons, Congress of Neurological Surgeons.

Board Certified by the
American Board of Neurological Surgery, and actively
licensed to practice medicine in the state of Florida.
Effie Burke, MPH, PA-C

Born in Virginia, raised in Jacksonville, Florida, Mrs. Burke
graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelors
Degree in Microbiology and Molecular Biology. She then
attended Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic
Medicine and graduated with a Bachelors degree in Physician
Assistant studies and a Masters degree in Public Health.

She then moved back to Jacksonville, Florida and started
working in Neurosurgery at Shands, Jacksonville and later
moved on to work at
Orange Park Medical Center with
Dr. Mark A. Spatola.

Assistants, Florida Academy of Physician Assistants, and
American Association of Neurological Surgeons.

Licensed in the state of Florida with prescriptive privileges and
special recognition in surgery given by the
National Commission
on Certification of Physician Assistants.
John Scott Boggs, M.D.



Born and raised in West Virginia then Alabama, graduated from University of
Michigan Medical School, did post graduate work in neurology at St.
Bartholomew's Hospital in London, surgical internship at Ohio State University
Hospital and Columbus Children's Hospital. Served in the US Public Health
Service at the Clinic Research Center in Fort Worth. Completed neurosurgery
residency at Georgetown University in Washington DC and Armed Forces
Institute of Pathology.

Began private practice in neurosurgery in Jacksonville in 1973, and has been on
staff in the past at St Vincent's Medical Center, former chief of neurosurgery at
Wolfson Children's and Riverside Hospitals and Memorial Hospital. Presently
active staff at Baptist Medical Center and
Orange Park Medical Center.

Professional  organizations, member of the  
American Association of
Neurological Surgeons, and member of its pediatric section, Florida
Neurosurgical Society, Duval Medical Society.

Licensed in the State of  Florida to practice medicine and board certified by the
American Board of Neurological Surgery.

Presently seeing patients in neurosurgical consultation, second opinion, and
evaluation and management of pain including injections.
